An Encounter with a Unique Piece to Live With—curated by Asakusa The Gate, this showcase brings together artisans rooted in Asakusa and objects crafted for everyday life. An Encounter with a Unique Piece to Live With Crafted Through Time and Artisans’ Stories
Curated by Asakusa The Gate, this showcase brings together artisans rooted in Asakusa and the pieces they create for everyday life.
Each piece is made to be used, cared for, and taken into daily living—gaining character and meaning as it becomes part of someone’s life. Visitors are welcome not only to view the works, but also to encounter and select pieces that speak to them personally.
While this venue serves as the central hub of the showcase, the experience extends beyond a single space. Many participating artisans maintain their own workshops and shops across Asakusa, inviting visitors to step into the neighborhood and engage with craftsmanship where it continues to live and work today.
Through this encounter—moving between the showcase and the streets of Asakusa—we hope visitors discover pieces shaped by time, stories, and human hands, and carry them forward into their own lives.
Asakusa The Gate
Asakusa The Gate is a project rooted in craftsmanship shaped by everyday life. Working closely with artisans in Asakusa, we curate encounters that connect people with pieces meant to be used, repaired, and lived with over time.
